Indeed, by playing. Gonna cycle the carts since I only have a handful of icons across those Mario games and get off the NSO free trial since you aren't eligible for icons on it.

Additional rewards (icons) you can get by playing: - Mario Kart 8 - Mario Wonder - Mario 3D World - Mario Odyssey
  3. Vampire Survivors

Nice to have the chance to try this on game trial. Did three attempts and got done in by the screen filling with skeletons every time. I suppose you have to just take the Ls and grind it for better starting abilities/ power ups/ characters. Not what I'm looking for right now.

It's the "hit me, Mario" look.
  5. Turns out there are ??? Mini Prixes as well as individual races. Had no idea until it did the glitch/flicker right in front of my eyes. There's a webpage with the time of the next one (have yet to test if it's accurate).

Wonder if they are building up to bigger rewards for people with longer streaks on certain games? Or the Mother 3 icons will be made available globally and only those with JP accounts will be able to actually get them.
  7. General Switch Discussion

Maybe best give it a weekend then to see how you get on with it.
  8. General Switch Discussion

Party A: We want to profit off our platform for playing the latest Nintendo Switch games. Party B: We want to profit off our platform for playing the latest Nintendo Switch games. Which is?? I hadn't factored in for another big one this Tuesday too. What is known is Peach Showtime, Endless Ocean, Luigi's Mansion 2, Paper Mario TTYD, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Prime 4. Far as I remember, this time last year there was nothing on the slate post-TotK so I'm sure the back half of the year will take care of itself once again. Maybe Prime 4 for Christmas and with a smaller game or two in Oct/Nov and another in Jan. Maybe a Kirby. Maybe a Yoshi. Maybe give Mario 35 another run on NSO. Maybe Prime Blast Ball. Maybe got Rare checking over a DK game. As for Fire Emblem, at this rate, they'll be porting the 3DS games while mining that library for anything else to shore up the calendar with. Aside from Peach Showtime which I'm curious about as it's something new, I don't know what Nintendo themselves could wheel out that'll have me there on release day. At least there's still two or three of their games I wouldn't mind circling back for if there's a dry period.

I noticed it has been tweaked now so that you have to actually open the related games before you can redeem platinum points for icons. For example, open SNES NSO Mario World first for 50 points before you can get the newly added icons, and for the Animal Crossing icons (still on monthly rotation) you have to have been on the game three times, 24 hours apart. Interesting stipulations.

  14. It'll be a bitter pill to swallow if it isn't compatible with all current your Switch games.
  15. NIS bringing this game from the JP showcase to the west.
