  1. General Switch Discussion

Afternoon, has anyone picked up one of the new batch of the Animal Crossing Swiches? I have now had three, all need to be returned since the left Joy-con has a faulty join at the bottom resulting in the Joycon being uncomfortable to hold, especially for long periods. Anyone else had some issues?

  10. Nintendo Switch paid online coming 2018

There was a setting somewhere to reduce lag; apparently the visuals take a hit (?!). Played a few games with @dazzybee last night, and from what I recall the reduced lag option appeared to do, well, reduce lag.
  11. Nintendo Switch Update Ver. 6.0.0

It's always your account playing, you're not sharing it with another persons account. It's no more "sharing" than handing someone your console and letting them play on your profile. As far as I can tell, every other platform holder lets you share your purchases across a family group (or similar) - that's peoples expectation of sharing digital purchases.
  12. Nintendo Switch Update Ver. 6.0.0

It's not really "game sharing"; despite Gamexplain insisting it is. You have a primary Switch (on which all accounts can play, as they could before), you can now log into a secondary Switch where only you can play your digital games - other account holders/profiles are blocked from doing so. As a workaround, others could play on YOUR profile (allthough this blocks you from playing on your Primary Switch). You don't share you games library, which is a shame as far as I'm concerned; Nintendo wanted Switch to evolve to a personal device for every member of the family - something that will not be acheived if families cannot share a games library.
  13. Lightning Deal 400Gb SD £106

https://www.amazon.co.uk/400gb-sandisk-micro-sd/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3A400gb sandisk micro sd An excellent deal. Sorry to make a post only for this, wanted to highlight. Feel free to delete once the deal has gone.
  14. Nintendo Direct: E3 2018

They have nothing else to show! A lame Direct, a really poor showing. With Nintendo getting the big guns out last year, we really needed a statement of intent today. What we got was a couple of low tier announcements and a handful of reminders. Disappointing.
  15. Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!

People really should have changed their expectations when the Go branding was leaked; you can blame no one for your disappointment but yourselves It was clear that this was going to be something different at that point. I think it looks a great entry/re-entry point to the Pokemon series; it's (perhaps) not aimed at the current Pokefans, but the Go audience of casual and lapsed players and plays to the strengths of that. That's a good thing, Go has invigorated the brand and there's lots of people who might welcome a casual experience on a home console. Year after year I have said i'll get the next Pokemon and never do. So i'll say it again, i''m going to buy this.
