Big Internet Scavenger Hunt (BISH)

You may still join in if you send me a list of five BISHable things - but you will not be able to do so for very long, as it won't be fair on those who have already started.

 

Ok, so I'm stealing this from my friend how made a group on facebook. Go visit (mostly his) website here. Oh shit, I lost! If you want to make it up to him.

 

Basically, what happens is everyone who wants to play signs up and lists five objects that must be found by the rest of the players. IN TEH REAL LIEF!!

 

Oh yes. Competitors will have to go and find as many of the things that the others have suggested and take a picture of this thing with themselves in the picture.

 

There will be a time limit on this game, probably around the new year.

 

 

 

ok, so here are some rules

 

1. The start date will be Wednesday the 5th of december.

2. If you want to play, simply PM me a list of FIVE objects/items/things to be photographed asap, and post in this thread. I will keep a list of combatants.

3. The descriptions of things can be as vague as you like, but I will be the judge, and my word is LAW in this thread.

4. Once the game starts, you must upload your picture and post it in this thread. I will keep a tally.

5. You do not need to take pictures of the five things you submitted to me. Everyone else does. Nobody takes pictures of their own submissions!

6. YOU MUST BE IN THE PICTURE YOURSELF otherwise I will not count it!

 

 

Scoring

Because there are nine players currently, each BISH will be worth a maximum of 80 points, and a minimum of 10 points. The end points totals will depend on how many people have also taken that picture.

 

. In the event of a tie, there will be a ... er ... tiebreaker... that is all.

I'm judging the entries, so relax :P You may notice some of these objects are impossible to get in the literal sense... so it's all about interpretation. If you want, I can PM you with your own individual list. But then, you could just copy/paste the enture thing below into notepad and the five lines under your name... :P

- GMTV with 7:43am on the clock in the bottom corner.

 

Remember not to take pictures of the five BISHes you submitted. AND YOU MUST BE DISTINGUISHABLE IN THE PICTURE.

 

BONUSES

1. If you can get a picture with all five of the below, and your own mug, then you shall be awarded some MEGA POINTZ. Twenty? Maybe more!

2. For every picture of you imitating the pose of a statue, also in shot, I will award you ten whopping points. Big points chance here.

 

3. Obviously any mega-cool photos of dedications, shrines or general love for jayseven will get some pointage. Ahem :P

 

4. Tennisballs for eyes - 5pts

 

5. two Rummikub Jokers - 7pts

 

6. Paperclip chain of more than 100 - 10pts

Ok, excellent, well done Eevil and Letty for sending their lists to me. It's looking interesting already.

 

The game works with three people alright-ish, but obviously it's better the more people that take part. If there's enough interest after this little 'tournament', I was thinking about developing a league of sorts. More on that in the New Year.

I#ve noticted tehre's been a lot of people looking at this thread - seriously, if you've got a camera or a camera phone, it's worth taking part. The more people that send me a list, the more interesting the top of the table will be.

 

I've had a really interesting mix of entries! I hope everyone will be patient enough to wait until wednesday

Do you mind if I watch how this little tournament goes and the join in the next one? I'm just really busy doing work so I don't think I'll have time to do it this time.

It's all about interpretation. I could say "depression" and you could take a picture of you being sad, or some emo kid, or jump in your time machine and go to 1920's mid-western america, or 1980'd argentina or whatever :P
