Well, for everyone's amusement, my Wii froze and I lost my second profile. I restarted my Wii to find the patch. Gutted haha.

Still, now we have a game with what appears to be perfect hit detection.

As for host lag and dropped frames, that's gonna be like Black Ops I'm afraid. However, don't judge it yet as it'll be wanky for the next 12 hours until everyone has cleared off the servers used the old code and has updated.

I remember everything was always more choppy after a big patch on Black Ops.

Yeah as Lost and Ben said no more lag shooting, but 1 or 2 hits equalsa kill... though at least it works both ways.

And aside from the first time looking for a match with the 3 of us, we seemed to be able to find matches pretty quick

Of the assault rifles, only the MK14 and the Type 95 kill in 2 shots at close to mid-range. The others kill in 3, or 4 in the case of the FAD (discounting headshots of course).

So how's it playing now anyhow?

Everything kills in 2 hits now, that's how.

Snuck online after eleven last night for a quick look at the patch and promptly got murdered a lot. The ump45 is no longer much good and the peeps that were doing the murderin were all using the RC-P90. This was my fave gun in N64 Goldeneye and I have a feeling, given the run and gun nature of MW3, that it'll be my weapon of choice here too.

Pity though - used to love having a different gun for my different moods instead of being forced to use just one in particular.

Sorry Ben, but you can't possibly understand how bad this is for me and Lost. I hosted in Black Ops and it was bearable (except on Nuketown). This is unbearable all the time. Every game I'm host and every game it's down to 10 or 15 frames a second.

It's not all about my KD either, it's about being able to actually play the game. In FFAs I can host and it's bearable. In anything with 10 players I'm done for.

I can understand the game is messed up right now my stats are no better than yours and just because hosting blops for you was ok doesn't mean it was for me- have you forgot it gave host to me for the majority of games!
But anyway I'm not disagreeing with you about how crap mw3 is I was disagreeing about you raging at your own clan members including me during a game . Its not on

I wish I could say something positive but I can't.

Apart from the first night (which was great fun), I'm not enjoying this at all.

Unplayable host lag, 1-2 shot kills, killstreaks that do nothing, its just not fun.

@kav82 where are the tactics for Domination / Demolition?
We are running around like headless chickens at the moment, with clan members turning on each other.

Domination is easy enough, you just secure two flags and force their spawn on one particular point by controlling certain areas of the map.

When I have better map knowledge I'll be able to advise of decent choke points and high traffic areas etc.

At the moment I'll not be playing anyhow as Zelda is going to take over my life!

Yeah, well I hosted a huge number of Team Tactical games to help you out and ensure decent connections for everyone!

Anyway, I was playing all morning with Nightmare. No dropped frames or bad games and we were hosting. This game is odd. It's hit and miss sometimes, but when it's good, it's very very good.

Does anyone feel like the choppers have been nerfed in the patch?

No americans, that will be why it wasn't laggy.

Yes agree. too many Americans on at the moment , give it a couple of weeks and will be connecting to uk players again

Not much fun playing with 2-3 randoms on your team though.

MW3 still hasn't arrived... I'll be sticking on Black Ops untill like mid-December.

Oh, I heard lag-shooting is fixed aswell as file corruption. Is the game much better now, or? (@lostmario)

Lag shooting is fixed, hosting is improving as more UK players go online.

I'd say in January (when 20+K players are regularly online and all the bugs have been fixed) we'll have a gaming experience similar to Black Ops.
