I will probably try to be on a fair bit, me and a friend play mhp3 a hell of a lot though (but ive done almost everything on it now). I might try to come on tonight even so if anyones online please look me up. =]

Ok I've been lazy in getting back to this, I keep saying "tomorrow I'll play MH3...." but tomorrow never comes

Well I'm not just saying it in my head I'm posting it here. Tomorrow (Thrusday) I WILL be online on MH3 around 1 or 2pm (maybe earlier) I'll post here just before I go online.

I'll be a bit rusty so will likely be in the Open servers.

Deathjam I can't remember if we played together after my old Wii broke, if not then you'll have to search for me too as you won't have my "new" file.


I've also tossed away my WiiSpeak and my wireless keyboard is broken so will be stuck on the on-screen keyboard... so If I don't chat much it's cause I HATE the onscreen keyboard

Yeah sorry dude I went off after bout half too, was on for about an hour and half, helping randoms, kept jumping into a city, blitz a quest, leave, enter another city and repeat. Haha.

Felt good hunting again, though yeah had to finish up then, sorry I missed ya, maybe another day

I'd forgotten how annoying switch axe users who don't know how to use switch axes can be - the random guy who was joining us was as much a hinderance as he was help. Plus, you don't go hunting a Rathalos whilst wearing Lagi armour unless you know what you're doing... and he didn't.

A bit annoying but he only cost us one quest overall so it wasn't too bad.

Haha know exactly what you mean. The upswing move maybe the most powerful axe move of the switch axe, but the way it sends your allies flying makes it almost useless to use and it's not as effective as say, the charged hammer smash that knocks out monsters but can send people flying. Also, please tell me he didnt use the multi swing of the axe cos all that does is destroy the sharpness of the weapon as the hits do small damage. And lagi armour on Rathalos too?! ¬_¬

Either way, there are alot of carters playing the game at the moment as I said awhile ago, giving a new difficulty to finishing quests.

He did a few up swings but it was more the reliance on the charge move which always ended up knocking me out of the way too. The guy was HR36 so it could have been hi level armour over overforged but I doubt it as it just seems too low a number to have all the necessary materials - not sure what rank high Lagis can be fought but I've got a feeling it isn't until 40 now I think about it.

And even if it was, he probably got it by someone else carrying him through the fight.

This is a game that rewards knowledge greatly and the better player is often the smarter one. I'm not saying I wasn't like that once (well, actually I am because I took the time to learn things and followed the good advice of my fellow, more experienced, hunters) so maybe it's just the monster hunter circe of life. I just hope he's learning for next time.

Actually boys the upswing is the 2nd strongest switch axe attack (in axe mode), the overhead smash is stronger but the most damage with the combo is to go upswing. I know what you guys mean though, hate SA users who spam it, gives us a bad name :/ wont catch me or mokong doing that around other players.
But yea, the worst is people who spam the sword mode burst, the final hit is the strongest attack but its not worth it in tri because of all the weaker hits (portable 3rd lets you miss out the weak hits so you go straight to the burst) and because if you catch a team mate theyre out of action for a while

Random hunger for the hunt recently... went online and there's still thousands. killed quite a few Agnaktors and Deviljhos, definitely still got my lance skills! I even whipped out the hammer for some good old rathalos punishment and was able to stun it a good 3 times haha. Some things just never change.

Been on and off quite a bit for the past few days but didnt catch any of you guys on, dunno if you lot still play considering how inactive this thread has become.

@midas MH3 is an amazing game. tonnes of content(no DLC) 500 hours in and I still havent built alll the weapons and armor I would like. definitely worth the £35 I paid and you could certainly get it for way less now. online is free, highly populated and largely free of lag. I wish they would release a new one though!
