EA have released the official trailer for Sim Animals, the upcoming wildlife god simulator for the Wii and DS.

Fact: EA are breeding an army; an army of games from the Sims series which will soon have enough weight to knock the Earth off its axis. This new installment in Will Wright's critically-acclaimed Sims franchise sees you playing God with the animal kingdom. As a giant, floating, white-gloved hand, you must befriend the animals and sort out little problems such as natural selection by moving them about so that the local bear clan don't drive the poor bunnies to extinction (similarly, you'll have to ensure that said predators don't starve, either).

EA have released a new trailer for Sim Animals, demonstrating the basics of the game with a seemingly 'comedic' CGI clip and a gorgonzola-infused voice over.

Sim Animals is due for release on the Wii and DS in January 2009.
