Nintendo of Europe launch a new site in time for the Christmas holidays featuring celebrities, games and a special competition...

Nintendo UK have today launched a brand new website to help consumers decide what to buy (and how to buy it) during the upcoming holiday season.

MyNintendo.co.uk allows you to watch clips from Nintendo's Christmas advertising campaign, which features celebrities such as Fern Britton and Phil Vickery, the Redknapp family, Ronan Keating and his family and Girls Aloud playing assorted Wii and DS games.

You can also check up on information and videos of recently released games such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Cooking Guide, and get information on where to buy gaming-themed Christmas presents for others, or a treat for yourself.

MyNintendo.co.uk is also the place to check up on dates and locations for the Nintendo Christmas Tour '08 where you'll be able to play all of Nintendo's upcoming Christmas games, including Wii Music, Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City and Professor Layton and the Curious Village.

Not only that, but you've also got the chance to enter yourself into a competition to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Lapland.

Head on over to MyNintendo.co.uk to check it out for yourself!

Back in the days of GameCube and GBA you would have been astounded if you saw one 20-second computer-generated advert for a Nintendo game. Now they're all over! And with real people who other people know to be famous! It's brilliant.

One of the tour dates is the Toys 4 Big Boys Show in Dublin.... though it says "DS Tour"??

You sure Wii Music will be there?

Positive. When on the tour page, click "Wii"/"DS" at the bottom to alternate between Wii and DS tour dates.

Ah sorry, not at Toys For Big Boys, that's just a DS tour.

well that's silly why have two different tours when you could do the both together... especially for the Toys 4 Big Boys show in Dublin, that's like a big show for must have gadgets for the christmas season and there's no Wii there? Looked at the exihibtor list, no Sony or MS either, missed oppurtunity by Nintendo to not have the Wii there. I might go up still, we'll see if i'm free that weekend.

Girls Aloud playing Mario Kart? Wow. Surely that's everyone's ultimate wank fantasy?

I've been trying to think of a smutty Girls Aloud/Mario Kart related joke to put here but the best I could come up with is something about Cheryl Cole swiveling on my banana...
