It's not Kid Icarus, but it doesn't seem that far off!

Coming soon for WiiWare is Icarian: Kindred Spirits, a platform game set in the ancient Greece of Gods and Titans where Nyx, "an enigmatic winged girl" comes down from the heavens to look for her missing friend Icarus. With the Wii Remote in your hand, use motions to make Nyx fly and point at the screen to use powers granted by the Gods like controling the wind or casting rays.

The game also has a 2 player co-operative mode where one player controls Nyx and the other the mystical powers granted to Nyx by the Greek Gods. The game will be exclusive to WiiWare and although there's no date yet, the official website says "soon". How very vague.

This certainly looks interesting and one can't help but wonder if it's an homage to Kid Icarus. This is Spanish developer Over The Top Games' first game; you can view the first screens and artwork below. Be sure to check out the official website too.
