News: Punch Out!! To Utilise Balance Board

Looks like Little Mac fans will be able to duck and dodge as well as throw those swings!

With Next Level Games set to revive the classic boxing franchise this Spring, anticipations are high for Punch Out!! Wii. Today, Nintendo have confirmed that the title will feature Balance Board compatability for extra immersiveness. Players will be able to use the peripheral to dodge and weave out the way of opponents' attacks.

It had already been confirmed that Punch Out!! Wii would support classic controls of the Wii-Remote flipped on its side as well as the motion-sensing combo of the WiiMote and Nunchuck. Check out the latest trailer of the game here.

Punch Out!! Wii is set to release on May 22nd.

Usually when they put in a lot of control schemes, one becomes redundant; the balance board sounds cool but if they add classic controls that most likely means the motion controls will be standard...

don't really see any reason not to believe it, it's not rocket science really, just like the boxing game in wii fit
