News: Conduit Now Delayed For Europe

Posted by Aaron Clegg - Jun 17th 2009 18:46

Some slight bad new for European gamers: The Conduit officially slips into July...

Earlier in the week, we reported that The Conduit would see a delay in Australia. And now, just as we also reported the delay would not effect the rest of the world, Sega has confirmed that the Europan release has slipped to July 10th.

Sega cites the reason for this delay as small localisation issues for the region. The US release of the game will go ahead on July 23rd.

Are you still pumped for The Conduit? Let us know what you think of the game below...

That's not great, by that time, I should have my computer assembled and ready.. Which means The Conduit will get some serious competition for playtime :D. Oh well, it also means I'll have € 50,- available for a few extra weeks. In any case, I'll get over it. I'll buy it when it comes out, and enjoy it.

So why announce the date as June 26th for so long and then say a week and half before release "Duh, sorry. We gotta add some more languages" ? Good planning that..

Stooopid Sega!

I doubt it's a language issue, because the Australian release is, surprise surprise, in English as well.

I'd guess it's more them optimising it for Pal, which I'm more then happy waiting on. Seeing games like Madworld and Super Mario 64 were never optimised for PAL.

As per reply in AUS delay news, I've preordered the special edition of this game to try and prevent another dev from abandoning Wii in favor of the Playstation brand, despite the gaming doing poorly critically thus far (100% guaranteed fail average ratio) as I am in desperate need of a good 100% NINTENDO HOME CONSOLE exclusive FPS game. I think i'll wait for the "complete" reviews from IGN and co before dismissing the game entirely and selling it on ebay...

Sol: or... try it before selling it on ebay?

Or do you give reviews more weight than your own experience?...

Sol, you do know "(100% guaranteed fail average ratio)" is gibberish and doesn't actually make sense or mean anything right?

Stop abbusing the english language in all your posts

This was kinda to be expected after the Australian delay, but it isn't really that big of a deal. Something good is worth waiting for. :-)

Oh, and Sol, do you actually care more about reviews (which I tend to disagree with, anyway) than your own experience of the game? Or do you simply act that way to annoy people?

He means he will wait for the reviews merely timewise, not read them or pay any attention to the review score, then dismiss it anyway :P

Incidently, random fact;
An *average* of "100% fail" would be absolutely impossible, because -all- reviews would have had to review it 0 already! (and as theres already reviews of 86%, that cant be true)

Oh yes! For this is the only decent game coming to Wii! Screw Metroid, Mario, Dead Space, Silent Hill, Grinder, Red Steel 2, and all that. Because those games are absolutely terrible! And oh how the Conduit is doomed! The three reviews I have read have scored it 80%, 83% and 86%! This game is going to be horrible!

Ha! Might sound strange but I welcome that news! Im going on Holidays on the 1st July till 15th so I wouldnt have been able to enjoy it anyway from release :D and its pre-orderd on play.com so it should be in my house by the time I get home! sweet! Living in Ireland sometimes things take a week to get to us from play.com >.<

I almost feel like a criminal for not buying this game, but my money goes where the design is, and this game seems woefully shallow in that department.

Don't worry about it, not one bit of the game has interested me, way too much hype on it.

Have this on preorder, i guess two weeks aren't that long to wait. I have enough wii games still uncompleted in my shelf so its no emergency :P

No need to stress Pod. The game unfortunately will fail sales wise anyway, so theres no need for the wasted expense in a bid to support it. I'm getting it as I desperately want to play some 100% NINTENDO HOME CONSOLE exclusive FPS action until Goldeneye HD comes out...
