Rumour: Taking the Epic Mickey

Leaked concept art for a game codenamed Epic Mickey, developed by Disney's Junction Point...

Junction Point, a developer set up by Warren Spector (best known for Deux Ex) are apparently working on a game for the Wii, codenamed Epic Micky. Concept art has appeared on websites of concept artists who work (or previously worked) for the studio, for the game.

According to the artists' CVs, the concept art is for a game on the Wii, and applies a much, much darker tone to the Disney universe, and include some kind of mechanical/zombie Goofy. Not much is known about the game except that Spector mentioned that he was working on a platformer to rival Mario two years ago.

Stay tuned for more news on Junction Point's game when it breaks.

This is weird but interesting... couldn't actually BE Kingdom Hearts III could it? I know it's not the usual developer, but the name could be a 'Blue Harvest' kind of thing...

Wohoo! They've turned the Disney universe into an uber-generic RPG world!
