Nintendo outlines Fire Emblem Warriors DLC

Fire Emblem Warriors will launch on the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS on October 20th, but new content will be coming right through until March 2018 thanks to some DLC that has been outlined today.

Over the space of four months, from December 2017 to March 2018, the upcoming title will receive three DLC packs that will expand on the game.  Each of the DLC packs is inspired by previous titles in the series.

Eager fans will also be able to purchase a season pass for £17.99, launching alongside the game, that will grant access to each of the DLC packs listed below.  Fans will also get a bridal costume for Lucina, which presumably is a good thing.

The three DLC packs are as follows, with more details coming in the future:

  • Fire Emblem Fates Pack (December 2017, £8.09): The content in this pack is inspired by Fire Emblem Fates.
  • Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon Pack (February 2018, £8.09): Many of the characters and other items in this DLC pack hail from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.
  • Fire Emblem: Awakening Pack (March 2018, £8.09): Fans of Fire Emblem: Awakening will love this DLC, as much content is themed after the classic game.

Fire Emblem Warriors will be comtabile with the new Chrom and Tiki amiibos, launching alongside the game and season pass on October 20th, as well as existing Fire Emblem amiibos.  These will give players weapons or materials but only up to five different compatible amiibos can be tapped per day.

A special edition of the Switch version will also be available on October 20th featuring three CDs and 25 character art cards.
