All N64 Games #429: Aleck Bordon Adventure: Tower & Shaft

This is the second Aleck 64 game that got a Game Boy Advance release. While the title screen says “4th Story”, I can’t find any earlier Aleck Bordon, so I’m not sure if he’s named after the arcade hardware, or if it’s just a coincidence. This arcade game includes two different games: Tower & Shaft, both similar to auto jump games, like Sonic Jump and Doodle Jump.
Tower
In Tower, Aleck automatically runs, changing direction when he reaches the end of the screen. You hold a button to charge up a jump, but it resets if you hold it down for too long or if Aleck walks off the edge of the platform, making it very difficult to time right. Different platforms have different properties, such as moving down, bouncing Aleck, or making him faster, along with some powerups like a higher jump. Your goal is to get to the top of the tower.
Shaft
Shaft is the opposite of Tower, as you have to make your way to the bottom of the tower, with spikes heading down to harm you. If you go too fast and go past the bottom of the screen, you die. You have a health bar in this, and there are spiked platforms that cause you damage.
Both games are simple and short, but extremely difficult.
Fine
Remake or remaster?
This might work well as modes in a mobile game.
