Feature: Eternal Launch Story

It's the day after Halloween; commonly know as All Souls Day, but this year it is the day that Darkness covers the screens of many GameCube owners. November 1st the long wait for us Europeans is over as Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem finally hits stores.
Here is my experience of launch day as I went to collect my pre-ordered copy from Gamesworld in Waterford City. Gamesworld is a chain of Irish game shops. Unfortunately things didn't go aswell for me today as they did for Tim and Jav on the SMS launch day.
When I got to the store I looked at the GameCube stand and there was no Eternal Darkness on. I was told they had just got the delivery and I could see a nice pile of games behind the counter, so I handed over my pre-order receipt and got my copy of the game, WOHOO.
Unfortunately I was not allowed to take pictures of the staff giving me the game or holding the game or anything (something about I would have needed authorisation from the Gamesworld head office in Dublin or something like that), even tried to explain that I'm not working for you run of the mill fan site but "Europe's Biggest GameCube site", guess they didn't believe me, no luck. I was told I could take a picture of ED on display, except of course it wasn't on display and the staff were very busy (it was Friday after all very busy day), so I waited for about 30 to 40 minutes hoping a fellow cube owner would come in and buy a copy and maybe let me take a picture of them but unfortunately nobody came in and asked bout the game (maybe they thought it was delayed cause it wasn't on display).
Well I did manage to get the shop manager (Padraig, [Irish for Patrick]) to take a picture of me holding my copy of ED and it would be here but the damn thing didn't develop right or something (time to get a new camera maybe). So unfortunately I only have this one picture that I was just messing about with I hopes of getting something to reflect the game, and I think I may have got it so below is a dark picture of me with a dim light in top, that's just gonna have to do I guess.
If we do not stop them then we will all be forced to live in "Eternal Darkness"
Well that was my Eternal Darkness launch day now if you don't mind I got a game to play, and for those of you that also got the game I hope you enjoy it as much as I am.
And hope the insanity effects don't drive you too crazy.
And thanks to Gamesworld Waterford for their assistanceselling me the game.
Hopefully next time I'll have better luck.
