Feature: Mag Review - CUBE #11

That time of the month again. As I hoped from reading what was to come in this issue from issue 10 I was very excited, as I was in store for a full review of my most anticipated game that is Timesplitters 2. I was one happy chap. Now before we go on, this is by far the best issue of CUBE yet. So what have you got to look forward too?
Well. In this issues Up Front we get some more screens of Metroid Prime and some more info on the upcoming Star Wars game; Bounty Hunter. Followed as always by the news featuring the first play on a demo of Resident Evil Zero. Also is news on Square soft's current position with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, and some TS2 and SFA covers to customise your GameCube inlay.
This issue feature takes a look at the history of the "beat-em-up" genre on Nintendo's consoles past and present spanning an impressive 8 pages I never knew we had that many beat em ups! With only 3 beat em ups at present on the GameCube, can it attract more of the genre to give Nintendo a reputation of great beat em ups?
Moving on. The summer game drought is over bringing forth many reviews, but first previews have we been blessed with this issue? *Deep breathe* Well we have Die Hard Vendetta, (they seem to think we cant get enough of this game and they'd be right,) Burnout 2, Micro Machines, Rocky, Black and Bruised, Skies of Arcadia Legend and many more. Now before you enter the masses of reviews we get more than a welcomed In Depth of another of my most anticipated games, and the last Rare game to appear on a Nintendo console: Star Fox Adventures. With lots if screens and vital info for you drool over, you won't want to pt the magazine down. I'll let you find out for yourself.
Now the moment we have all been waiting for. Timesplitters 2 review and yes it's a Star Game. Did you think any less? Shame on you. This is the ultimate FPS that everyone must own. Seen as its basically the N64s Goldeneye team you know its going to be great. Great single player mode topped off with an enormous multiplayer mode. Then if you stop drooling over the TS2 screens you can read all about Super Monkey Ball 2. Same game, but better? Oh yes. With over 150 levels, improved backgrounds and 6 more multiplayer games, what more could you ask for? Topped off with reviews of Turok Evolution, which ended up a disappointment, Sega Soccer Slam, MX Superfly and some more unimportant games.
Network CUBE is packed as usual with reader reviews and letters, as well as solution on Beach Spikers and tips on Resident Evil. Also Beat the Team is present with 4 challenges for you to compete in to win prizes and topped off with a few GBA reviews.
Overall this is the best issue in my opinion I think the TS2 and SFA sections swayed it for me. A wide variety of games and you won't want to put this mag down. Just make sure you don't spoil it with all your drool.
Cube-Europe Score: 9/10
