Feature: Out This Week

Presumably the game publishers thought we wouldn't have any money left after last week's bonanza of releases, hence the rather sparse show (i.e.one title) this Friday. If you're bored with the mental gymnastics of Brain Training and Puzzle League though, we do have some mindless gangster shananigans to put your brain on hold for a while.
Wii
The control approximation debate rages on. Al Pacino's drug-based business adventure carries on from where the film left off, putting you in the place of the shotgun-blasting, iconic line-delivering, rather manic gangster. Think GTA, with some focus: run around, assault unfortunate thugs, drive, shoot, attack people with a chainsaw. Even if you haven't played the game on other systems, it will probably still feel like familiar territory. Where it diverges from its brothers, though, is exactly where you guessed it would: Wii controls.
Opinion on the controls seems to be sort of divided amongst the gaming press, but rare is the critic who declares them intuitive or infallible. Truthfully, it will probably take a bit of getting used to: moving, aiming, shaking (the last of which must surely feel incongrous) with the Wiimote and nunchuk is not something the game has been implicitly designed for, but something that has been fitted in to an already existing package. As the year goes on, we would really like developers to put more effort into Wii conversions, but for the moment the Wii's hardly busting at the seams with competent action titles.
Verdict: Don't toot your horn, honey. You're not that good.
