The N-E Café hits the double digits!
Posted 16 Jan 2020 at 12:12 by Dennis Tummers
Welcome to the tenth episode of the N-E Café, and let's start off by congratulating Sam for guessing the transition tune of last week, which was DuckTales for the NES. Can you guess this week's transition tune? If so, share it with the guys on Twitter or in the forum thread for eternal glory!
There is plenty of news to discuss, and Lee and Nick talk us through the Pokémon Direct and the upcoming Smash Direct news, plus rumours around Pikmin and the Bioshock Trilogy. And then there is the new update on Nintendo land's progress (the theme park, not the WiiU game).
Nick is cycling through a bunch of games at the moment and chats about his time with Cuphead, Ring Fit Adventure, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and DuckTales Remastered. Lee has been having a lot of fun with Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack! which turns out to be a very solid platformer that needs more spotlight.
Games and movies based on games, it's a very difficult marriage if you look back at what has come out. Forum member WackerJr asked the guys: What are your best and worst movies based on video games? This results in a chat about the good, the bad and the ugly that ever hit the cinemas.
