Game Details: Iggy’s Reckin’ Balls

A platform-racer for the N64

Original N64europe Review

Features:

# Acclaim/64 Megabits

# 1 to 4 Players

# 100 Levels

# password

Graphics:

Accl aim has no problem with graphics. All the characters in the game have their own unique animations. The only problem is that in 4 player mode graphics look choppy since the screen is devide into quarters.

Play Control:

There is a tutorial mode that helps player master different character moves such as the jump and grapple. Some moves are awkward but it gets used to in a while.

Game Design:

The game is designed for those 100 levels so there is a high replay value. The multyplayer mode is good but the framerate is slow sometimes.

Satisfaction:

Since the camera angle in this game is vertical it takes some time getting used to, specially on harder tracks. Once the basics are mastered the game can be fun and challenging.

Sound:

The sound is pretty good. All characters make different sounds throughout the game.

Comments/Summary:

Iggy's Reckin' Balls is a weird game. The camera angle is faced horizontally making it confusing. It takes a really long time to adjust to the angle if you love racing games. The play control gets awkward to control in the horizontal view. Anyway after you figure out how to do all this there are 100 different levels to play on. Each level is difficult and weird in its own way. The multiplayer is challenging in 2 player mode but hard to see in a 4 player mode. Sound is good and graphics are the only two things that are not messed up.

Rankings:

Graphics: 7.0

Play Control: 6.5

Game Design: 6.5

Satisfaction: 6.0

Sound:6.0

Overall:6.3
