Original N64europe Review

The promising game NASCAR 99 has been released in Amerika and now we bring you a full report of the most realistic racing game yet on the N64! If you have seen or played some other NASCAR games you'll have to agree with me that we can expect a lot of this game. Well, I don't think that you'll be dissapointed because I think that EA Sports has doen a great job with this game.

Let's get to the Drivers. The game features 31 authentic drivers and a couple of bonus drivers because of the 50th anniversary of NASCAR. The Bonus drivers are the big NASCAR legends, Richard Petty, Benny Parsons, Cale Yarborough, Alan Kulwicki, Bobby Allison and Davey Allison. Here are some names of the 31 featured drivers in NASCAR 99: John Andretti, Johnny Benson, Geoff Bodine, Jeff Burton, Ward Burton, Ricky Craven, Dale Earnhardt, Bill Elliott, Jeff Gordon, David Green, Bobby Hamilton, Ernie Irvan, Kenny Irwin Jr., Dale Jarrett and Bobby Labonte.

There are 17 stunning raceing tracks, all similar to the real tracks. Here are the names of the featured tracks: Atlanta, ristol (Tenn.), Texas, California, Charlotte, Darlington (S.C.), Indianapolis, Martinsville (Va.), Michigan, North Carolina, Pocono (Pa.), Phoenix, Richmond (Va.), Sears Point (Calif.), Talladega (Ala.) and Watkins Glen (N.Y.).

Time to handle the graphics. The game has got a excellent frame rate single AND Multiplayer. The cars al look great bagged up with their sponsor logo. It a shame that you are able to see the background sections building up in the distance. But in overall the game has stunning graphics!

The game has a very realistic gameplay. The gameplay is just as I expected, perfect and realistic! I have got no comments at all about this game's gameplay. The engine sound are live recorded at actual races as well as TV-Style commentary. The two and only Bob Jenkins and benny Parsons. The music though could have been of better quality, but it is not something to judge a NASCAR game on.

In Overall this N64 NASCAR 99 title is one of the better racing games on the Nintendo 64 console! I hope that you can still wait a couple of weeks for the European release of this game! We will keep you informed!!
