Game Details: Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Be Dash Rendar as you battle the Emprie and Bounty Hunters for the rebellion.
Original N64europe review
Dash Rendar the character you play with in Sote, has to kill prins Xizor. Various gangs are also going to be a victim of his actions. It starts fantastic in the first level, where you have to fly a snowspeeder to stop an Imperial attack on the rebel base on planet Hoth. However the rest of the game will disappoint you. There different sort of levels, there are Doom style levels and some run and jump levels. In some levels you'll have to fly and shoot the tie-fighters. Most of the levels are the Doom style levels, so I'll tell you something about those levels.
If you know Goldeneye you'll have to get used to the controls and the view particularly. The explosions in the game are.. well how shall I put it... they look like Bitmaps, in other words they are flat. The stormtrooper characters are full 3d and they will be treat to your eyes!! The levels haven't got much detail and after playing a level once I don't think you'll bother to replay a level. they are the same, boring and... well ok now some positive things about the game.
The run and jump levels are worked out extremely well, they also have a nice 3d surrounding and they look perfect. But now I'll have to return to my previous stand... they are pretty boring. Sorry I can't help it, I just don't think this is the perfect game to buy. At the end of some levels you'll have to defeat a "boss", I loved doing that! Walking through a 3d level to outrun or kill the "boss".
My conclusion of this game is, it's a good game for playing a few times but don't expect to much of the game. I recommend you before you want to buy this game to rent it first, or borrow it from someone you know.
