Since its release in March 10 million units of the Nintendo Switch have been sold worldwide, putting it on track to be one of Nintendo's biggest ever successes.

The console's sales are bound to grow exponentially over the Christmas period and as stock becomes more readily available after months of low supply during the year.

Based on previously released figures this also means just under 2.5 million units have been sold since October, undoubtedly thanks to the release of Super Mario Odyssey amongst other games.
