Nintendo Zone is already available in Europe and allows you to access a bunch of exciting content on your 3DS if you connect to a compatible Wi-Fi hotspot but now it's set to become even easier to get connected, in the UK at least, thanks to a new deal with 02.
The partnership will see 7,000 hotspots throughout the UK become available to 3DS owners in places such as McDonalds, Debenhams, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, House of Fraser, Toby Carvery and public venues such as The O2.
When in range, the Nintendo Zone icon will appear and notify you that free Wi-Fi internet access is available. Once this happens you will be able to browse the internet, play games online, download movie trailers, receive SpotPass content and access the 3DS eShop.
So now, whilst you're knocking back a greasy burger or indulging in some pizza, you can flip out your 3DS and start watching 3D trailers of your favourite movies.
Shelly Pearce, Marketing and PR Director of Nintendo UK stated the they're always looking for ways to improve the 3DS experience.
"This partnership with O2 means that gamers will now have access to all of the unique online features offered by Nintendo Zone in more locations than ever before."
Now that it's eaier to access, will you be entering... the Nintendo Zone?
