Amazon lists Wii U at £199.99, gives a July 14th release date

Nintendo remain tight-lipped about Wii U launch details, with no price or release date information being confirmed so far. This hasn't stopped Amazon however, as they've guessed both of these elements.
The Amazon listing for the Wii U console prices the console at the reasonable sum of £199.99. A few other retailers have recently put their listings up but most have priced it closer to £300, making the Amazon offer very tempting.
Amazon's pre-order price guarantee means they won't take any money until the console is dispatched and you will pay the cheapest price it is listed at from the moment you pre-order until it's released. This means that if the console is reduced in price before the official launch then you will pay the lowest price.
While this may seem too tempting to pass up, evident in the fact that the black Wii U is already top of the Amazon pre-order chart, Amazon in the past has gotten around their pre-order policy by cancelling orders and re-listing the item, so be warned.
Curiously, Amazon has listed the console as coming out on July 14th, which is only 30 days away. This is presumably an error or a placeholder date that has been overlooked as it is way too soon to be believed.
Given that Nintendo has yet to announce any official release information, and all indications pointing to November, we can't imagine the Wii U being available in shops in one month.
It is also worth noting that Amazon has listed the black and white versions of the Wii U, while Nintendo seems unsure that both colours will be available at launch. Again this could be Amazon taking a guess but it certainly one we at N-Europe hope they've got right!
Time will tell if Amazon are accurate with any, or all, of their Wii U release information. Let us know if you've pre-ordered the console through Amazon using the comments section below.
