The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has been speaking to IGN, and he had some small, juicy titbits to share about the long-awaited next installment of the epic series.
Aonuma first acknowledged complaints that some players had concerning the open world of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and how they were "looking for a bigger open world".
Regarding the direction of the next game, Aonuma teased: "I can’t go into details but I’m hoping to put a surprise, or kind of a twist, on my view of an open world game."
It is not the first time Aonuma has said things to that sort of effect, previously stating that the development team of Zelda Wii U "don't plan to have an open world in the same way other companies have been doing in recent years".
The forthcoming Legend of Zelda title has been kept under tight lock-and-keep for almost a year now. Though it has been delayed until 2016, the official line is it is still in development for Wii U.
