Despite the multi-million dollar Assassin's Creed III having released just a few months ago, publisher Ubisoft has already revealed the next main installment in the popular franchise.

The aptly-named Assassin's Creed IV - subtitled Black Flag - will take the series on something of a fresh turn, with the action set mainly on the open seas of the Caribbean in 1715. Assassin's Creed IV will have you take on the role of Edward Kenway - a brutal pirate captain who can also moonlight as a ruthlessly skilled assassin.

Ubisoft promises that the ocean you can explore will be a huge open world featuring 50 different locations, where you can loot ruins and shipwrecks, and assassinate Templars in vibrant cities.

Assassin's Creed IV is due out in November on Wii U and other consoles.
