Microids have announced that a physical collection of six Asterix & Obelix games will be making their way to Switch in Asterix Maxi Collection: Platinum Edition.

The collection will include four XXL games and two Slap Them All. This includes the remasters of Asterix & Obelix XXL and Asterix & Obelix XXL 2: Mission: Las Vegum alongside the newer titles Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir and Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia. These are 3D beat-em-up games starring the French Duo.

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! and Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2 keep things much loser to the 2D artstyle of the comics they came from, while keeping to the beat-em-up genre.

The Platinum Edition also comes with a statue of Obelix and Dogmatix. The colelction will be released on Switch in Europe on the 31st October 2024.
