In large-to-massive megaton news, it has been revealed that Platinum Games is developing a sequel to its superbly-received 3rd-person action Bayonetta exclusively for Wii U.

That is because Nintendo themselves will be publishing the aptly-named Bayonetta 2.

Very few other details were divulged in the short teaser trailer during the Nintendo Direct broadcast, but production will be led by Vanquish producer Atsushi Inaba.

In related news, Platinum Games's other Wii U game - Hideki Kamiya's codenamed 'P-100' - has been given a final title of The Wonderful 101. The comic-inspired action game is also published by Nintendo, though it looks like that game will miss the system's launch date.
