Nearly 15 years after the original title, an emotional Michel Ancel announced the sequel to this GameCube cult classic.

Head of Ubisoft, Michel Ancel, took to the stage of their E3 conference to announce a sequel 15 years in the making - Beyond Good and Evil 2. 

Embark on an epic journey to System 3 in this new space adventure which takes place before the original title. Michel describes it as a 'sci-fi space opera'.

'We're creating a sci-fi space opera, a game where players fight for freedom alongside unforgettable characters and explore a stunning and vast solar system, all while capturing the spirit of Beyond Good & Evil.'

Beyond Good and Evil 2's solar system will be a "massive, seamless online environment" which can be explored alone or with friends.

The sequel has been rumoured for a very long time but only now has it been made official, with no current consoles being confirmed. We can only hope that we'll see it on Nintendo Switch some time soon.
