While both Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda:Breath of the Wild won within two very respectable categories, the Independent developers (of all sizes) clearly stole the show this year.
Personally I can say that I very much enjoyed What Remains of Edith Finch so it's good to see that the game got a decent amount of recognition, securing the Best Game award.
