Nintendo is hosting an event in London next weekend, and gamers will be able to meet the man behind the voice of many iconic Nintendo characters such as Mario, Luigi and Wario.

Taking place on Saturday September 7th and Sunday September 8th in the John Lewis branch on Oxford Street in London, gamers will be able to play numerous Wii U and 3DS Mario titles and compete in a Mario Kart 7 tournament.

The event itself takes place all weekend, between 9:30am and 8pm on Saturday and 12:30pm to 6pm on Sunday, but Charles Martinet will only be there from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm on the Saturday so if you want to meet the man make sure you go on Saturday.  Attendees will be able to have photographs taken with Charles and get autographs as well.

Winners of the Mario Kart 7 tournament will receive trophies, while younger fans will be entertained with colouring in books and jigsaws.

• Luigi's Mansion 2
• New Super Mario Bros. 2

Update

Nintendo has now confirmed that Charles Martinet will appear at the GAME branch in the Bullring in Birmingham on Friday September 6th.  He will be available for autographs and photographs from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.
