Charts: Japanese Hardware & Software

These charts are just preliminary ones so they are missing the hardware charts and the numbers are rounded. However, good news for Nintendo as Nintendogs sells more than expected and Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki enters the charts at number two. Charts are for the week ending April 24th.

It is a good week for Nintendo, as Nintendogs surpasses the previously expected sales and actually sold 182,000 units. As well as this Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki also sold 102,000, meaning Nintendo are in the money this week. This also means that Nintendogs is the highest grossing game on the DS, surpassing Super Mario 64 DS.

The hardware charts have now been released, and the Nintendo DS sold very well, becoming the number one selling console for the week in question. The GameCube also saw good sales, due to Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki.
