Charts: Latest Japanese Software & Hardware Sales

Despite PS3 Week Two, Japan still DS territory in the week ending November 19th.

Courtesy of Media-Create, we have the most recent sales figures from Japan.

The software charts were led by the latest in Koei's popular line of games set in ancient China. Overall, the top 10 was split between new titles for the stalwart PS2 and steady sellers for the ever-popular DS. Note the complete absence of PS3 games from the list...in fact, the highest PS3 title ranked in at 16 (Namco's Ridge Racer 6). It will be interesting to see whether Wii software will fare similarly once Nintendo's newest console launches in Japan.

In hardware, week two of the PS3 era proved underwhelming yet again. The DS Lite continued to swallow up Japanese converts as Sony again wallowed in the pit of their supply problems. The Wii is less than two weeks away now.
