Broken Rules, the team that brought us And Yet It Moves on WiiWare are prepping their latest download offering, Chasing Aurora, to launch alongside Nintendo's new Wii U in the US this Sunday.

Chasing Aurora is described as an Aerial Action game with a unique 2D visual style that is somewhere between origami and a pop-up book. In the game players take control of various bird characters in a number of different game modes. A single player "race against the clock" and three multiplayer modes based around classic childrens playground games - Hide & Seek, Chase and Freeze Tag.

Hide and Seek:
In Hide and Seek, the team is up against the Wii U GamePad player, who steers the Golden Bird on the Wii U GamePad. It is the Golden Bird's task to hide from all the other players until the time runs out. The team, on the other hand, has to find the Golden Bird and snatch away Aurora's Gem it is carrying.

Chase Mode:
Grab and keep Aurora's Gem, while trying to stay alone on the screen.

Trail Challenge:
Single player time challenge mode. The task is to fly through a course as fast as possible while hitting the triangle-shaped gates to score points and receive time bonuses. The round ends, when the timer reaches zero.

Freeze Tag:
The player on the GamePad plays the Ice Bird, whose goal is to freeze all other players.

No word yet on if Chasing Aurora will also be a launch title for the European Wii U release so stayed tuned to N-Europe for the latest updates.
