Another Nintendo Direct has been unleashed upon the world and this one is bursting with details about upcoming New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC.
The 'Gold Classics' pack is being released in Japan, America and Europe in celebration of the fact that over 300 billion coins have been collected in the title. It looks like some of the best DLC so far as it features lots of classic levels remade from the original games that appeared on the NES/Famicom all those years ago.
The levels included are 1-1, 1-2 and 1-4 from Super Mario Bros. along with 1-1 and 1-5 from Super Mario Bros. 3 with a few more classic levels hidden away which can be found by going through secret routes.
The DLC will be free to download from today until January 31st 2013 and then available to purchase from the 1st February.
There have been no prices confirmed for Europe just yet but come February, American gamers can expect to pay $2.50 for the DLC.
Iwata has stated that these DLC stages are based on what users have been asking for, as there was apparently a high demand from fans for classic levels to be remade.
