Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is set to release on Nintendo 3DS this May but it seems that it isn't just a port as Nintendo Direct proved.

This version of Donkey Kong Country Returns will have a whole new world for you to enjoy as well as a new mode which will make things slightly easier. Instead of starting off with just 3 hearts, you'll have 5 and you will also have the ability to summon a DK barrel wherever you are so that Diddy Kong can help you out when in a sticky situation.
