DOOM Eternal Switch version releases on December 8

DOOM's long-awaited (and already praised) sequel DOOM Eternal has finally landed a release date for the Nintendo Switch. The game first launched on other platforms on March 20 (the same day as Animal Crossing, leading to a new internet friendship between the Doom Slayer and Isabelle). The Switch version is launching on December 8.

The port is once again being handled by Panic Button, who previously ported Rocket Leagueboth Switch Wolfensteins and DOOM (2016) to Nintendo's hybrid. DOOM Eternal will support gyro controls, and Switch players can expect the Ancient Gods DLC as well, although there is no date for that yet.

Unfortunately a physical release has been cancelled for now, so the game will need to be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop. The size required is 18.8GB.
