Doom Eternal will bring hell to Nintendo Switch once more

When the original Doom was ported across to the Switch only last year, we were suitably impressed by it in our review.

It offered Switch owners quite possibly their very first taste of hell, assuming that they might not have played any of the series before and the studio has also worked its wonders with the more recent Wolfenstein II as well. (Which we will surely bring a review of to you soon)

Naturally, it would only seem fitting for a sequel to get ported across to Nintendo's platform but things were possibly uncertain when just the title Doom Eternal was announced at E3 2018.

During this weekend however, Doom Eternal has been properly unveiled in all of its rather gory glory during QuakeCon and we're happy to discover that the Nintendo Switch is getting a port of the game, presumably for release at the same time as the other platforms.

No official release date as of yet but it is presumed to be releasing some time in 2019.

Check out the Tweet from the official Doom Twitter page below...

From what I've seen from the general gameplay so far, Doom Eternal is surely shaping up to be the sequel that any Doom fan should be ecstatic to see coming out and for it be available on the Switch as well right from the start is a fantastic showing from Bethesda and everyone involved with creating the game.

Are you looking forward to playing Doom Eternal on the go? Have you finished the first game on the Switch yet? Do you feel that Panic Button does what a lot of other studios don't in terms of its porting prowess?
