DRAGON QUEST VIII: Journey of the Cursed King remake coming to Nintendo 3DS in January

Dragon Quest may be a popular series in Japan dating back to 1986, but it is DRAGON QUEST VIII: Journey of the Cursed King that introduced the series to Europe and soon fans can relive this on the Nintendo 3DS.

Launching on January 20th 2017, DRAGON QUEST VIII: Journey of the Cursed King will not only bring the PS2 title to Nintendo's handheld, but it will also add a load of new content.

The Nintendo 3DS version will contain two brand new playable characters, more side-quests quick-save and speed-up features and of course the portability aspect.

In true 2016 (or 2017 by the time it is released) style, you can pause the game and take photos that can be customised using filters, stickers and frames.  You'll also be able to unlock Cameron's Codex once you meet Cameron Obscura in Port Prospect, which will reward you for taking pictures of certain subjects, monsters and situations.

The images can be saved on to an SD card and shared to other DRAGON QUEST VIII: Journey of the Cursed King owners via StreetPass.  Players can then give them a thumbs-up, with particularly well-received photos giving you a better chance of receiving a new item.
