DSi Shop closing in March 2017

Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that they too will be closing the DSi Shop next year, following earlier reports that the Japanese one would be shut down.

Nintendo has announced that as of March 31st 2017 the shop would no longer run, giving you one year to get the most out of it.

DSi Points can still be added until September 30th 2016, then giving you six months to use them.

You can still transfer DSi Points and DSiWare to a Nintendo 3DS console, or re-download DSiWare on there, in the meantime so be sure you do it sooner rather than later so you don't risk losing it when the service is shut down.

Nintendo has confirmed that DSiWare will continue to be sold on the 3DS eShop. More information can be found by viewing Nintendo's announcement.
