The man behind Twilight Princess has talked to IGN about the game, giving a better understanding of the title's animal mechanics.
In his interview with the site, Aonuma-san reveals more details about the latest Zelda title. It appears the game will adopt a two-world system that will be familar to fans of the franchise, with the 'Twilight Realm' being where Link transforms into the wolf. Possibilities for further animal play are hinted at, as well as the enhanced abilities your wolf form gives you. The series' director reiterated his wish that Twilight Princess "exceeds Ocarina of Time on many levels", and cleared up speculation about links with the film Ladyhawke:
"I've heard about the movie Ladyhawke, but I've never actually seen it. People have asked me about it, but obviously I don't have any inspiration from it since I've never seen it. That being said, this time around the reason that Link transforms into a wolf is completely different from what I understand is going on in that movie."
