E3 2005: Revolution Price Speculation

After Nintendo's E3 conference there is much speculation as to the pricing of Revolution and next-gen consoles!

An article at Bloomberg.com has been looking at E3 2005 with interest, and has noted speculation regarding the possible price-points of Revolution, Xbox 360 and PS3. In the news story following on from Nintendo's conference, Bloomberg quoted Rob Enderle, analyst with California's Enderle Group, who had some interesting things to say about the new consoles.

According to Enderle, the Revolution may cost in the region of $150 to $200, with PS3 the next expensive at $300 and Xbox 360 around $400.

Enderle added, "They [Nintendo] continue to play toward the younger audience... their product appears to be quite a bit less expensive than the competition." Also, Enderle thought Nintendo could become a "niche player", with its position coming under pressure from Sony and Nintendo.

Still, it's all speculation at this point, so we await the official announcements on the RRP from Nintendo!
