Its official: Call of Duty will be reporting for Nintendo's new console.

IGN Wii is reporting that a subtle confirmation for a Wii version of Call of Duty 3 is contained in Activision's E3 trailer for the game. Though heavily rumoured, this marks the first official sign that the sequel to the popular combat series will be on Nintendo's new console. Activision has proven bullish towards the Wii, pledging multiple titles of which at least one will be available at launch (the spinoff Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam). At least one other title is known to be under heavy development (Spiderman 3) at this time. E3 may very well bring more surprises.
