E3 2006: Cooking Mama Goes To America

Quirky Japanese cooking sim has been picked up by Majesco for American consumption.
Released in Japan back in March, Taito's culinary sim Cooking Mama proved to be a tasty, quirky appetizer for the DS that didn't sell all too well. Not to be discouraged, 1up is reporting that Majesco has not only picked up the rights to localize the game for the US but that the project is far enough along to be shown at this month's E3. An unexpected announcement, the title is further illustrative of the company's new course as a publisher of smaller, niche titles. Majesco, which released Guilty Gear Dust Strikers last month for the DS, also has Mech Assault: Phantom War and Monster Bomber slated for the dual-screened handheld.
