Miyamoto hints at return for the popular garden sim!

When Miyamoto speaks people listen. Yet in 2000 when he revealed Pikmin few expected they would be hankering for more some seven years later.

That is exactly where fans of series find themselves having last tasted a new Pikmin game in 2004 with the critically acclaimed Pikmin 2. Miyamoto has given fans just a small quote to linger on and hope that the 3rd installment is not too far away, he said "I certainly don't think we've seen the last of Pikmin," and then went on to describe how well he thought the Wii control mechanics would fit in with the Pikmin game. So he has all but revealed that a new Pikmin for the Wii is planned, whether or not it is actually in development yet is however unknown.
