Nintendo have revealed a brand new peripheral for the Wii, a microphone which allows voice chat in games such as Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Hot from the Nintendo E3 2008 conference, Nintendo have revealed a brand new peripheral for the Wii entitled Wii Speak. This new peripheral sits on top of your television with the Wii Sensor Bar, and allows online voice chat in games such as the recently unveiled Animal Crossing: City Folk.

It captures speech from the room in which it is placed in, and plugs into one of the Wii console's USB slots. It'll retail separately from Animal Crossing, for $29.99.
