E3 2009: Wii Vitality Sensor Previewed

In an intriguing moment in Nintendo's E3 conference, company president Satoru Iwata took the stage to give gamers a look at a new Nintendo peripheral "for the future" - the Wii Vitality Sensor...

A strange plastic clip-on peripheral for your finger with a wire sticking out of it. That is the only way we can describe the device, which so far has no games announced that make use of it.

Nevertheless, Nintendo felt the need to bring it out and tease us with it, which really leaves us scratching our heads at what on earth the Big N have up their sleeves for the future.

One thing's for sure - this E3 conference has been the most surprising in years - for all the good reasons!
