Masahiro Sakurai's Kid Icarus is looking like one of the most intriguingly ambitious titles for 3DS yet, with frantic Sin & Punishment-inflected gameplay now meeting a newly-unveiled multiplayer mode.

Players will be able to partake in 3-on-3 multiplayer battles for the first time in the series. It hasn't been confirmed yet whether this will include online play or just local multiplayer. Not only that, but the trailer seems to tease a big Augmented Reality card element for the game when it ships later this year.
