E3 2011: Miyamoto Discusses Wii U Controller

Shigeru Miyamoto confirms that Nintendo are looking at syncing two Wii U controllers to one system.

During E3 numerous Nintendo employees have been questioned over the possibility of using two Wii U controllers with one console. While one spokesperson said that it would only support one Katsuya Eguchi stated they are looking at potential multiple controller support. Now Shigeru Miyamoto has weighed in on the discussion too.

Speaking in a News Com interview, as reported by Zelda Informer, Mr. Miyamoto states that at present the console is only designed to be used with one controller but they are researching the possibility of allowing more.

While multiplayer is achived through using Wii Remotes Shigeru Miyamoto also stated that there is a possibility the 3DS could be used as a control.
