Nintendo's E3 conference has confirmed the next installment of the Zelda franchise on Wii will be available this year.

Shigeru Miyamoto appeared on stage following new footage which was part of a 25th Anniversary montage to reveal the highly anticipated Skyward Sword will be available around the world "this holiday season.

Also announced was a special edition gold Wii Remote to coincide with the game's launch.
