E3 2011: Sonic Generations Producer Talks 3DS

Takashi Iizuka shares some facts about the 3DS version of Sonic Generations.

During E3 Sega demonstrated Sonic Generations, the title that marks the 20th anniversary of their famous blue hedgehog. After a tumultuous period of rumours, denials and speculation they recently announced that it would be heading to the 3DS and now we know a bit more about the game courtesy of its producer Takashi Iizuka.

One thing Mr. Iizuka was keen to point out was that all the stages in the 3DS version of Sonic Generations would be exclusive, except for the iconic Green Hill Zone that will feature in all versions of the game.

Sonic Generations will feature stages from past Sonic titles, either as they originally were or remixed, but the 3DS version may exclusively feature stages from the previous handheld titles. In addition to this the game is set to offer a special stage and a two-player versus mode according to Joystiq.
